Turnham Academy understands the importance of British Values and we have ensured our curriculum promotes our pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
We strongly believe our British Values are promoted in all aspects of school life and sit at the heart of our diverse and inclusive community.
The five British Values that our form part of the learning for pupils at Turnham are:
Democracy
The rule of law
Individual liberty
Mutual respect
Tolerance of other faiths and beliefs.
We ensure the fundamental British Values are embedded within our curriculum and subjects, to further develop understanding of these concepts through; Philosophy for Children (P4C), Relationship Sex Education (RSE), Religious Education (RE), assemblies and Pupil Parliament.
